The Artistic Process

Young Artists of America at Strathmore offers various classes and workshops for middle and high school students looking to develop their individual skills in various disciplines, including Acting, Dance, Voice and Musicianship. 

Classes are open to enrollment for all students, whether or not they are participating in one of our Performance Ensembles

YAAStudio (Levels I & II) are our newly expanded multi-disciplinary approach to musical theatre training, designed for the serious high school performing arts student.

New in 2019-2020 is our YAAStudio II which bridges process and performance, culminating in a final Cabaret performance.

Broadway Dance (Levels I & II) offers dance training, tailored especially to students of all levels who are interested in strengthening their understanding of varying styles of musical theatre dance.

New this spring is a Tap Intensive designed for students looking to learn or brush up on their tapping skills.

Our popular College Audition Workshop returns as a fall series which will help students prepare their college audition package before presenting it in front of our guest panelists from some of the leading musical theatre programs in the nation.

Our Junior Classes designed specifically for the ambitious middle school performer seeking to improve their performance skills, including our newly expanded Audition Songbook JR.
